Deborah Sanchez is an Indigenous woman from the Honduran Moskitia. She has an extensive background in working on forest certification, climate change, and economic development projects based on the promotion of the recognition and respect for Indigenous Peoples and local communities' rights. Deborah was most recently Coordinator of forest, climate and biodiversity area at the Mesoamerican Alliance of People and Forest. She was also a member of the Executive Committee and interim executive director of the People Forest Partnership.
